Microsoft to sell unique 32GB version of Surface 3 just for schools

Microsoft will sell a unique version of its upcoming x.half dozen-inch Surface iii tablet only for schools. This version will only take 32GB of storage and 2GB of RAM, which should make it more affordable for educational institutions. In addition, Microsoft is extending its 10% school discount to include the Surface 3, along with its Blazon Cover and the Surface Pen.

The $499 version of the Surface 3 that will be avaiable to the full general public is the i with the lowest hardware specs with 64GB of storage and 2GB of RAM. Microsoft did non state what the toll volition be for the 32GB version of the tablet.

While the Surface 3 officially goes on sale May 5, Microsoft has allowed some schools to go early access to the tablets, including the Sarasota County School District in Florida and Wymondham Loftier Academy in the UK. The company adds:
